What is it about?

Hip-hop is more than music. It's a language of resilience, creativity, and community.

Bars Beyond Borders is an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange bringing together young people from Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, and Poland to explore how hip-hop culture can become a tool for self-expression, empowerment, and social inclusion.

Through rap, dance, graffiti, storytelling, and other creative activities, participants will discover how art can give a voice to those who are often unheard while building confidence, friendships, and intercultural connections.

Objectives:

✔ Express yourself through hip-hop and the arts
✔ Discover how creativity can promote social inclusion
✔ Raise awareness about discrimination, racism, sexism, poverty, and social exclusion
✔ Meet young people who share your passion for creativity
✔ Improve your communication and English through intercultural learning
✔ Learn how to use art to actively participate in society

Travel & Costs

🥦 Food (vegan) and accommodation costs are free

🚃 Travel reimbursement up to 309€ (or 417€ with green travel) for participants travelling from France.

🌱 Green travel compulsory

🚨 Travel must be approved before booking

Who can apply?

Young people (18–30) who:

✔ Live in France
✔ Are interested in hip-hop, urban culture, or artistic expression
✔ Speak basic English
✔ Are motivated to participate in an intercultural experience
✔ Want to express themselves creatively and meet people from across Europe
